Weekly Artists’ Market Raising Charity Downtown Sarasota
Sarasota... The Artists' Market is raising funds for a local charity organization. Conveniently located in downtown Sarasota, the weekly Artists' Market is a place for locals to network and market their creative talents. The Market welcomes local artists to participate. Located in Historic Burns Square on South Pineapple Ave. and Laurel St. every Saturday through May from 9am until 4pm.
"The Artists' Market is quickly evolving with great momentum!" says Brandy Boyd, Market Director, "Moving into Historic Burns Square, becoming a weekly event and donating to a local charity organization are great progressions for the Market."
The Artists' Market will be donating to Orphan Art Inc. which is a local non-profit organization that delivers art supplies and instruction to orphanages in remote areas of the world. The orphans are guided to market their own artwork in their communities to promote economic self-sufficiency. Orphan Art Inc. will have a booth setup at the Market to distribute prints of orphan's artwork for donations.
"The Artists' Market is looking for support from our community!" states Brenna Foster of Sutara Clothing and Accessories, "Shop local for quality goods. Support the arts, crafts, and music of local community members!" The community will be able to enjoy live music scheduled throughout the day, as well as poetry and other performances while digesting the many unique paintings, jewelry, photography, clothing, and much more.
The Artists' Market will run seasonally from October to May and welcomes all local artists.
